David Gadd

Much of David’s research is characterized by a distinctly psychosocial approach to criminological problems. His first book (co-written with Tony Jefferson) Psychosocial Criminology was published by SAGE in 2007. His second book (co-written with Bill Dixon) Losing the Race – about racial harassment perpetrators and how to respond to them – was published by Karnac in 2011. Together with Susanne Karstedt and Steven Messner, David is editor of the (forthcoming) SAGE Handbook of Criminological Research Methods.  He also serves on the editorial board of the British Journal of Criminology and is a member of both the UK’s  Psychosocial Studies Network and the international Responses to Interpersonal Violence Network based at the University of Linköping.
